Planning estimates, not quotes

What might it cost to hire it done?

Planning-level ranges for common homeowner jobs in the Triangle area, derived from a single proprietary price book with documented assumptions. Every figure below is a Flow Decoded modeled estimate — a range around one supported price point. It is not a market survey, a binding quote, or a guaranteed price from any company.

Supported scenarios

Ranges shown as low–high USD. A missing scenario means we don't yet support it — we say so instead of guessing. Data basis: price book captured 2026-10-04, estimator est-v1.0.

What's included / excluded

Modeled ranges assume standard residential access, normal working conditions, and professionally supplied materials unless noted. Typically not included: permits, code-required upgrades to existing systems, drywall/plumbing-wall restoration, emergency after-hours premiums (see service-call rows), and parts the homeowner supplies. Any of these can move your real quote outside the range.

Why a range?

One price point plus job-to-job variability (access, equipment, code conditions) produces a planning band, documented in our methodology. We do not present it as a statistical survey of the market. Where we lack defensible variability evidence, the honest answer is a wide labeled band — or no answer at all.

Three kinds of price information

1. Modeled estimates (this page): derived from the Flowwork price book with documented assumptions. 2. Advertised examples: a named company's dated public offer with its terms — published only when allowed, always labeled. 3. Observed market range: only when a real, comparable sample exists (with sample size and period shown). Today only class 1 is supported; we have not earned the other labels yet.
